2. A Republican Spokesman For Dominion?

What the heck is that supposed to mean?
He's a spokesperson for the company. He's not a Republican spokesperson.
His political preference has nothing to do with either anything he said, or his job as spokesperson.

They could have at least used a second comma. (Michael Steel, a republican, as spokesperson...). Then it would emphasize it wasn't a partisan opinion.
Either his being an R is irrelevant or it's sloppy writing.

It's Rawstory, so either is possible.
