(31,261 posts)40. The problem is, how do we keep a US Representative, of a democratic City Council
member from thoughtless yelling stuff like defund the police or socialism is everywhere. Maybe such people should stop and think about how to transmit needed messages, but my guess is they wont do that. So we get defund the police when we should get reform policing so that it makes police officers and the public safer. The goal with policing should be to not have police officers dealing with every problem, including many that they are poorly trained to resolve, and we need to reform police hiring so that brutes, haters and adrenaline jockeys dont get hired.
