In reply to the discussion: What three movies do you recommend [View all]Buckeye_Democrat
(15,477 posts)116. Here's a list of IMDb's "Top 250".

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is one of my all-time favorites, but I wouldn't want to watch it repeatedly. The ending with "Chief" always makes me smile with tears in my eyes.
My favorite comedy is "Dr. Strangelove...", but that's another movie that I don't want to watch too often.
"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" is a lighter comedy that lends itself to multiple viewings, and it's very clever. Not to mention how often it's referenced here at DU.

Same. Team America, Michael Jai White's Black Dynamite, and The Three Stooges Movie are fun.

If you like musical biopics, ala "Ray" or "Walk the Line," try "Walk Hard: the Dewey Cox Story"

"L.A. Confidential" is probably my favorite movie of all time. And I'm a movie nut.
