But I was in the Grocery business as a store receiving clerk. Black Friday for me was wonderful as it meant I had the season and year kicked. The worst weekend in the year for me was Labor Day as we had all the current holiday stuff in and the halloween in the back room. From Labor Day to Thanksgiving was the worst as it was cardboard shipper displays that needed to be assembled, halloween, baking, wine for displays, liquor sets for displays, liquor, Thanksgiving items (both GM & Grocery), Christmas seasonal (both GM and Grocery) and lots of beer, soda and chips for football season There were days one could barely squeeze between the pallets. Once we hit Thanksgiving, I could come up for air as most stuff was out on the floor or soon would be.

It was and is a rough time for the employees at Retail, but I really don't know anytime that isn't anymore.
