5. "They don't make landslides like they used to..."

It's sobering that the most successful candidate of this millennium only managed slightly under 53%. With popular vote margins so thin, there's an ever-increasing potential for the electoral college "winner" to be, on a regular basis, the candidate who came in second. We might as well just flip a coin.
