or there's some subtle signal you give off that tells them, time for bed.

My cats follow me all around the house. They are underfoot everywhere. I don't mind. But, they are demanding. And, I have found that cats do not like their food bowls half empty. They will complain until you fill it to the brim again. You have to be responsive, or they will pester you.

My one cat is a calico. She came to move in with me when she was alone in the country, and very pregnant. She wrapped herself around the leg of a relative living with me, and when I came home from work, I had a new cat. Well, several new cats.

My other cat is her daughter, the only one left out of the litter of five kitties she had. She is black and white with a coat pattern like a calico. She is a very athletic cat, even though I know she is older. She still has the "it" factor.

When this cat is hungry, she sits and stares at me, no matter how long it takes. I know what she is doing, and I often tell her to just wait. She has a marking like a prison tear drop, and a severe look on her face. It's unnerving. She always gets what she wants.
