But my experience has been that it is an "all in" situation - that you are undertaking to provide Xmas in toto. The toy tree is a lot more within reach of people.

And, I quit giving to the SA several years ago after reading an interview with their Communications Director. In that interview, he said that SA's position was that same sex parents should be executed. That seemed a little punitive to me.
