46. Correction: it's not a news program

It's a politics program. I think it's really a huge problem if people have come to believe that political chitter chatter (whether it's good, like Rachel's, or bad, like some others) constitutes the "news."

There is plenty of news that never gets remotely talked about on these shows. If you want to watch a fairly comprehensive news program on television, I'd say go to PBS NewsHour, where at least there is an attempt to cover domestic and foreign stories of the day (things from Asia, Africa, Europe), as well as science, cultural, and business reporting.

I used to be a politics program junkie, watched them all. About two and a half years ago I stopped watching them altogether. The only time I'll tune in is if something is happening live and I want to see real-time coverage.
