41. My cousin is in the hospital right now, because he visited his son during Thanksgiving.

I love my cousin, but this is beyond stupid.
(And yes, they are Republicans.)

My cousin's son had covid-19. And for some reason, my cousin and his wife thought it would be a good idea to travel to another state to visit that son for Thanksgiving.

I am guessing they thought the son was no longer contagious.

Wrong. The son got another covid test while they were there, and it came back positive again. Four days after their arrival, my cousin and his wife started having symptoms.

A week after that, my cousin is in the hospital with covid-19 related pneumonia.



This cousin is more like a brother to me. I'm hoping like crazy that he will have a full recovery.

But I will never understand how people are ignoring the facts.
