(6,131 posts)Last night and today have been an up and down experience. I refused to watch a single moment of the TV coverage after I watched some of MSNBC's post debate commentary last night. I was a little down after the debate, but after listening to Tweety and Big Ed go after the President, I was actually despondent. I made up my mind before I went to bed that I would not watch any of the morning shows.....on CNN or Morning Joe. None of it. And I didn't.
I finally got up the nerve to watch about 2 p.m. when The Cycle came on. I knew it was going to be a mixed bag and it was. Thankfully, Krystal Ball had a summation that basically said we Dems just need to calm down and let it go. All will be OK.
So this afternoon I came back to DU to see how things are in cyberspace and found the usual mix of highs and lows.....but more rational this afternoon and less hyper. I think the hysteria has begun to subside just a little.
Then I came to your comment about Killing off Big Bird and that helped put it all in perspective. Thanks for a moment of clarity and a much needed laugh.
