Once the fascists get a certain amount of power, their focus shifts away from their obvious enemies to those of their own who aren't pure or loyal enough. Trumpists are now solidly in this phase. Once the Republican party is purged of interior threats to Trumpism, their focus will return to those outsiders they want to dominate or destroy.
