18. Public hearings are a way to inform the public.

Yes, members of Congress have a variety of ways to obtain information. This doesn't negate the importance of public hearings as a tool to educate the public and frame the various issues.

If members of Congress have "mountains of information" about the connections between Q-anon and Russian intelligence they certainly haven't done much to inform the public.

And if terrorist plots related to election day were thwarted (and if there is a connection to Q-anon and Russian intelligence in such plots) I would think it proper that the public be informed. Were people indicted for participating in such plots? Gee, it's almost as if you're hinting at your own "deep state" insider information us peons aren't permitted to share.

Seriously, I don't know where all your snark is coming from.
