to the Pres. debate, from another board I post on, which is non-political but for a discussion of this:
"I don't plan on voting, wasn't going to watch the debate - but did & Romney sounded OK, until he mentioned cutting off PBS - those are fighting words. Unless PBS could get other funding, that could mean the end of Eastenders [a Brit serial show] for us... There's so many wasteful things they spend our tax dollars on - why mess with the 1 channel that's been teaching children for 40yrs???"
Funny how the PBS thing really pissed people off.
