Showing Original Post only (View all)Does anyone in the private sector have Columbus Day off, or even the public sector? [View all]
Its a federal holiday and state holiday in Missouri (probably Kansas too) but the schools are still open and its a normal day for most people. UPS and FedEx are still running normally. Only thing in the private sector closed is banks. Same with Veterans Day. I don't ever remember having school off on Columbus Day and graduated high school a long time ago. My college also had class on President's Day but not MLK Day. Is Columbus Day some kind of Northeastern thing, it's not much of a Midwestern thing?
