(54,485 posts)and the MAGAts came out in droves in TX for Rump and him.
IF you are going to be angry about wasted money, TX is correct though, just it didn't matter who we had run.. Same for Maine (to a degree), and the BIG TWO, South Carolina, where Harrison took one very iffy poll that showed him even a month plus out, and then ramrodded advert after advert using that same poll over and over and over (which put far too many in a trance that he was going to win when it never was remotely close in reality), plus finally, Kentucky, where there was always zero chance for McTurtle to lose, especially to a weak candidate.
TX, KY, SC, and Maine (Maine being the least bad in terms of winnability, but again, we had a weak candidate who was NOT a native Mainer, which torched her) all sucked up SO much money, and Bullock in MT and Theresa Greenfield in IA ended up cash starved and could not counter the INSANE 'they are commies who will burn down all the cities' (in Montana and Iowa!! LOLOL) hundreds of millions in Rethug adverts that buried them the last 2, 3 weeks.
And do not get me started on sexter Cunningham in NC, who BLEW a probably sure win with that scandal. Jeff Jackson should have run, he would have won (and hopefully runs in 2022 for the open NC seat).
Also am so pissed at Kathleen Sebelius, who was our only hope (and actually would have been the favourite to outright win according to almost every KS insider, Dem and Rethug) in KS, but refused to run, and the same for Tim McGraw in TN, who has now TWICE refused to run (2018 and 2020) for OPEN seats, after swearing he would run for a decade plus when he hit 50 years of age (he is 54 on this coming 1st of May). He would have won in 2018 over that piece of doggie MAGAt moron Marsha Blackburn.
