...and reports are that no officer has died at all.

This is no way to treat something so consequential. No way to treat someone asking for proof. And now it appears your information was false.

UPDATE: U.S. Capitol Police have issued a statement saying one of their officers has not died.

"Although some officers were injured and hospitalized yesterday, no USCP officers have passed away,” they said.

...is 'my problem' with your poorly sourced post still not clear?

The officer in question may be one that was reported in critical condition. That person may well die, but this report, and your incomplete post appear to be false. That's likely why there's the dearth of reports...
