4. Censorship and dismissing of concerns caused all this in the first place

You know, just like when Obama was elected people celebrated the end of racism, people now celebrate the silencing of a populist.

The result?

We get BLM riots: because system racism isn't solved, nor is police accountability, or economic opportunity.
We get Trump: because white trash as pretty much the same complaints as BLM.

Both PEACEFUL owners of these grievances have had their problems oversimplified, wished away, ignored, or were chastised for having them.

Not talking about problems doesn't solve them. That's for the economic deserts in the United States that are the inner cities, as well as the flyover country rural areas.

Both constituencies are pandered to, but not served, by the parties and people they elect. And I think anyone acknowledging this would dominate the discussion, rightfully so.
