3. No, not at all a joke. The only way they will win a pending fight is if we back away from it

If Americans, on the whole, back away from forcefully confronting them, literally as well as figuratively, they very well could succeed. I assume that they do have some support at all levels of law enforcement and in the state and national military organizations. I assume there will be some armed showdowns. If sane America blinks we probably will lose. If we don't, they will.
