You can't forfeit what you don't have, and there is no inherent right to self-defense on an internet message board. I would be all for a system in which the person alerted had a chance to defend themselves if such a system could practically be put into place, the problem is that there is no way such a system could work. What happens if the person alerted on stepped away from the computer? How long do you wait for them to get back? A troll would game the system to delay the deletion of the post for as long as possible.

Your post should be able to stand on its own, if you need to explain it then it was probably not a great post that everyone needs to see.

If you have a post deleted it is not the end of the world, don't worry about it and just move on.
