4 New Polls, Mitt's Bounce: "small/muted" [View all]

Romney Gets Small Bounce

Four national polls released Sunday show Mitt Romney narrowing in on Obama, but the Republican candidate’s bounce from the debate seems to have been muted. Romney’s polling has been fairly steady since Saturday: Obama had been leading an average of 3.7 points between the convention and the debate and now is only 1.7 points ahead. But New York Times poll expert Nate Silver says Romney’s failure to make further gains is called “mildly disappointing for him.”
