Before Biden takes up residence, the entire White House will be deep cleaned. That is something that can be accomplished faster, more easily, and with fewer security concerns if artifacts like, say, portable statuary such as a bust, can be taken elsewhere to allow both their own decontamination and to let the main cleaning proceed without having to work around delicate breakable stuff.

Of course, we can't trust the Trumps worth spit, so maybe they did steal it, but we don't have any information beyond that one video. Under that limitation, would it help your blood pressure to know that there is an actual mundane possibility for why it was removed?
