That's the America that's existed in places within memory. A Black GI returned to the South from WWII Europe, took a bus home and after hours and hours, asked the driver to stop for a bathroom break. At the next scheduled stop, men who'd been notified about the uppity Black were waiting. They beat him up and blinded him. That may not have been the America he risked his life for, but it was the America those Southerners had.

That's the America of the Proud Boys, the Boogaloos, Oath Keepers and all the fascist groups. The rest of the insurrectionists have chosen to be brainwashed and are convinced the govt is corrupted by Democrats.
