7. It's not that surprising to find scientists or engineers

Involved in the insurrection.

Many are republicans for reasons I don’t understand. It’s easy to believe you’re smarter than other people in all areas because you are smart in one.

I think part of it is you have to think contrarian sometimes to find the hole or the idea that everyone else missed. It’s how you come with new ideas that work. It’s easy to forget that most times the idea is a dud.

You see it when geologists or biologists claim global warming is false. I think it’s even easier to fall into the trap with politics because it’s so much more subjective than science.

Or maybe I’m just spouting on something I don’t really know about.
