(31,261 posts)He had two name brand stars coming in with him this year, Evans (good, but was never a team leader type of guy) and Gronkowski (out of retirement). He had a lot of guys around him that had underperformed, a Number 1 running back that was released by the team that drafted him Number 1, a Nose Tackle that was large - but just large, a once potent Defensive End who was near the end of his career - oh - and had almost blown off one of his hands. Brady and his coaches could not get on the same page earlier in the year, his head coach publicly criticized him once. Yet, by the time the playoffs rolled around, the offensive line was as good as any that Brady had in New England, the runningbacks were chewing up valuable yards to keep possession, and Brady was generally throwing darts and befuddling defenses with how quickly he gets the ball out of his hands, he had his miscues, but when the game was on the line, he didnt make mistakes and put his team in a position to win. Now he gets a Super Bowl in his home stadium, something that he never had at New England, and Bradys history is that he is almost unbeatable at home.
