(3,855 posts)Learned along time ago, you can't force empathy on people by giving them a taste of their own medicine.
IF they had that kind of insight, they wouldn't have this problem to begin with.
Secondly, we shouldn't let others, no matter how vile we consider their actions or words, define our actions and words.
And last the the ones that are really bad are also in a position where they will probably rarely if ever need your help. It's not like Addelson or the Koch brothers or Romney are ever going to need any help from any of us. Their wealth allows them to maintain the illusion of total self sufficiency.
I know it sounds corny and cliche but we really do have to BE the change we want to see. Otherwise we merely reinforce the "YOYO" mentality of conservatives.
