In reply to the discussion: Biden Ready to Stop Efforts to Woo Republicans [View all]Progressive Jones
(6,011 posts)35. I think President Joe will prove to be more aggressive than President Obama.
Certainly in a positive way. It's just a matter of different styles and personalities.
President Joe is just "grittier" and, I believe, more street smart, with a lot of Washington experience.
He knows what he's doing. I can tell.
President Obama sometimes seemed too hesitant to me and, like you said, there was too much capitulation.
He seemed to be doing a juggling act at times, trying to please or appease as many as possible.
Still, I saw him as a good leader. He was serious about his job and our nation.
I'd like to see him as a Supreme Court Justice someday.

We have only 2 years, and even that isn't a sure thing, as Leahy's illness showed.

Obama was our first black president. He would have been crucified if he had been more aggressive

This is the time to play hardball. They are still trying to turn back the clock or gum up the works.

And the polls seem to indicate that most are pleased with what he is accomplishing.

Fake it if you have to, but don't hold back being ruthless when warranted.

I am afraid that it is more than greed. They are driven by race hatred and hatred of immigrants. nt
