32. I'm so sorry, RedSpartan. My husband was diagnosed at age 4

and that was 53 years ago. He has some major complications now, but treatment now is SO MUCH better than it was in 1959 and he was very healthy until about 4 years ago. Chuck's family defied the conventional wisdom at the time which was taking 2 shots of insulin per day and instead took at least 5/day after meals, snacks & bedtime to better mimic a healthy pancreas.
