(2,566 posts)54. I got the Moderna shot on January 22
I'm a teacher and my district held a clinic for employees. I didn't feel a thing when I got the injection. I had what I'd call moderate soreness at the injection site the next day and mild soreness the day after that. I had no side effects other than an ouchie arm for a couple of days. I'll get my second dose on Feb. 19.
My parents are both over 65 and are on waiting lists at several places. So far nothing's scheduled for them...

I think it will vary - I don't think I have issues with vaccinations in general.

I've read to prepare for a 24-48 hr down time for the second shot. Especially the Moderna

Got mine last Friday. Moderna also, 1st day nothing, 2nd day arm really sore- muscles, not injection
