excited, not being forced to go out to see him. Also, he stopped because they had been waving as his motorcade passed by.
It was in a rural area, and those kids' parents might be Republicans who talk up Romney around them, so the kids might well have been more than glad to meet the man their parents were talking about.
When I was a 10-year-old child in 1960, my Republican parents had me bragging about Richard Nixon to my friends. If I'd had a chance to meet Nixon back then, I would have been squealing with excitement, too.
But even if I had not been indoctrinated by my parents, I would have been excited to meet a famous man that was on TV and that everyone was talking about all the time, one who might even become president of the US.
