Where opinions, from an expert or an amateur have equal merit, and a lie has no less value than the truth.

Lies can be fun and exciting while the truth can be dull and boring, therefore the lie is preferable to many, even if they know it is a lie. Forest fires caused by careless campers is not nearly as exciting as fires caused by Israeli space-based lasers.

With the number of Americans that have shown a willingness to accept the big lies, we are in serious danger.
