especially in view of the "federal" nature of her alleged crimes.

If it's really meant to be a “work-related bonding retreat with her employees and their spouses," she can relocate it to somewhere in her native Texas (if not her own home). As for the possibility of losing what she prepaid, that's between her and the venue she hired.
