The Representatives who are carrying firearms probably don't actually fear for their safety. I believe their actions are a way to signal to their constituents that they are "fighting the good fight" and "sticking it to the man." This is only an issue because they know it will draw attention from the media. I say, ignore the situation and it will quickly resolve itself. Politicians are ALWAYS campaigning, and this is a campaign stunt to gin up support at home.
