We need to acknowledge he let us down, Haley, who served in her ambassador role under Trump, said. He went down a path he shouldnt have, and we shouldnt have followed him, and we shouldnt have listened to him. And we cant let that ever happen again.
When I tell you Im angry, its an understatement, Haley told Politico. I am so disappointed in the fact that [despite] the loyalty and friendship he had with Mike Pence, that he would do that to him. Like, Im disgusted by it.
Haley was thought to be the future and his most likely 2024 running mate. Now with the GOP, we've seen them kiss and make up after worse than this, but Nikki will have trouble explaining this to Trump cult members in the coming years.
