2. I gave up on religion because of its hypocrisy

Every religion in the world has fundamental hypocritical problems whether of facts or internal inconsistencies. Religions were invented by humans so these problems aren't really surprising.

However, there are many positive elements of most religions. A desire for honesty, fairness and mutual respect are features of most faiths. How is it, then, that so many who profess their faith so vigorously turn out to be huge offenders of the morals they espouse?

The hypocrisy (and denial of facts) makes me laugh sadly.

By the way, there must be a lawyer joke about an honest attorney.
