Are we now going to say that the DOJ can't pursue Trump because it will detract from a Biden agenda? [View all]

If impeachment was a "distraction" and an impediment to the Biden agenda, how the hell is an ongoing investigation, run by Biden's DOJ (which unlike the Senate is not in a separate branch of government), not a distraction and an impediment?

Please explain.
