...when Dole was considered an "arch-conservative", and the "hatchet man" for the more moderate presidential candidate Gerald Ford. The same Dole who was responsible for the SNAP program that keeps millions out of hunger today. Republicans used to be a different type of people.

I was glad Dole lost to Clinton, but Bob is way more of a kick in the ass than you'd think.
