Our democracy is under threat and has been weakened. if it were up to the voters they would be in their end stages, but because of jerrymandering and a bias in the EC and Senate, the Republicans don't have to answer to voters. They answer only to corporate interests.

If they succeed in blocking voting they can cement control no matter how low their support gets. There's a scenario where they can represent 25% of the country an still have control of all 3 branches of the government.
