A person close to Tanden said that she made those remarks about Social Security when President Barack Obama was doing much of the same and is now in close alignment with Biden, who has advocated for expanding the program.

When all roads lead back to the dubious Walter Bragman (who slurs Joe Biden in the same hit piece you link to), and the only thing the hapless Walter has in his bag tricks of consists of decontextualized information from 2012, I don't think the problem is with Neera Tandan.
