84. Blithely saying 8 and 9 year olds

Shouldn't have to think about race, or tacitly agreeing with that sentiment, is the very definition of white privilege. Imagine the African American, Latino, or Asian American kids who get called racist names who can't un-know race and racism and then saying " but we want to shield our children from hearing about their pain." That's who Maher and Kelly are.

I've had animosity toward Maher because of his misogyny for years (check a list of producers/EPs and writers on the show; last I checked there was 1 woman out of something like 20 people), but his racism, and especially the way his racism has become more pronounced recently, as with his Ben Sasse interview, put the final nail in the coffin.
