In reply to the discussion: Can we show sensitivity to those who can't get vaccines? [View all]Ocelot II
(130,593 posts)It seems to me that the posts about getting vaccines have been intended not to brag or gloat but to show how the process has been improving. I'd had no luck at all getting an appointment until suddenly this past week, when another provider came online, and I posted only to describe how the process went and how efficient it was. I think the posts are meant to show hope and progress, not to make people feel bad if they haven't been able to get the vaccine yet. I had resigned myself long ago to weeks or even months of waiting and was pleasantly surprised at the very sudden improvement, which I had not expected. In any event my behavior won't change significantly even after getting the second vaccine because nobody knows for sure yet what the long-term results will be. Anyhow, if you haven't been able to find a vaccine provider yet, hang in there because you will get the vaccine, and probably sooner than later.
