(151,004 posts)Vaccine availability is just now beginning to make mass vaccination possible. In some places it's easier than in others. I was simply in a random selection group for my age group. My health insurance company, which is working through CVS also has me on their list, but I haven't heard anything from them. Apparently, no vaccine availability has made it into that system.
Still, more and more people each week are getting vaccinated, and a new vaccine is about to become available.
Every person who gets the vaccine is one more person who is no longer in line. I'm 75 years old. I had hoped to get my first shot earlier than I did. But, I just joined the random selection group set up by my state, and waited.
Hope. That's what is going on right now. Every week, more doses appear in most places.
