In reply to the discussion: Can we show sensitivity to those who can't get vaccines? [View all]jumptheshadow
(3,315 posts)Why don't you show a scintilla of sensitivity for the situation of people who have been trying as hard as they can to protect and save the lives of loved ones? Instead of answering with snark, which is just an ill-researched response to a very real desperate situation?
And this thread is as valuable to the public as 2,027 threads saying, "I got the vaccine and the people on the ground were wonderful." On this thread, you are seeing some of the situations I have heard about -- people in their 80s who are blind who can't get the vaccine.
While public officials are trying to pass off the blame, a lot of you want to plaster happy faces on a situation where it is still impossible for qualified medical professionals to ascertain who in line should receive the vaccine.
If you don't see the frustration and resentment, then you don't have your ear to the ground. Or, giving you the benefit of the doubt, you live in a place where there actually are effective systems.
