Football and drinking are a combined behavior, since football showed up.
that would be the late 1800's in Wisconsin, with the Acme Packing company team, the packers.
Until it was official in 1920, the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.

So 100 years of football and drinking and cooking out might have an effect on drinking in Wisconsin.

Plus we had all the breweries; Pabst, Schlitz, Miller, Rahrs etc. etc etc.
