2. That's not what politicians do

Most politicians preach what the audience wants to hear. When a politician points out the money changers, the buyers and the sellers in the house where they should not be, a lot of folk get angry. When a rare voice comes in and does stand up to power and does not go silent, we see why Jesus promised persecution to those who followed him. Persecution with out limit. When a politician stands up and does the right thing it is wonderful. When a politician stands up and refuses to be silent they can expect enemies from all sides.
Case in point, AOC. Her perspective is from the heart and she does not stay quite.

We need the blessed peacemakers, folks like Joe, but we need the ones who cry in the wilderness as well. Truth is we need a lot more of both. It is only one of those who cry in the wilderness who will walk into a white church and say that Jesus was of the same genetics that conservative Christian's hate. The apostles were of the same genetics that conservative Christians hate.

Remember that Jesus was killed two years before he was old enough to become president. If a politician truly followed Christ's teachings, only G*d's hand could keep that politician safe from the conservatives.
