Again, as many others have said, this absolutely will not "make or break me". I'm very fortunate - I've been gainfully employed for many, many years, and have not had to spend on children or anything like that, being a single and childless loser!
But there certainly will be people in this group that will say "Trump gave me 2 checks, and now I'm not getting shit from Biden". I realize they're looking at through a ridiculously oversimplified lens, but "it is what it is".

I'm just worried that those folks who made $99K in 2019 didn't make that kind of money in 2020.

I think what folks will recall is that those expecting $1400 will be getting $1400

It'd be fine with me if it all went to folks who needed it for rent, food, utilities, mortgage, etc.
