Idiot. This isn't about scaring conservative Christians. It is about preventing future political violence by groups that have already established themselves to be prone to political violence.

If you want to affiliate with an extremist group, the so be it. Just be prepared for scrutiny. Same way that if I had chosen to affiliate with the local street gang growing up, I would expect that law enforcement would want to know what I was up to.
