(130,373 posts)22. Because of Vietnam, LBJ probably got a lot less credit than he deserved
for civil rights legislation at the time.

I am one here that see LBJ as accomplishing more good legislatively than FDR.

I'm in my 70s, and as far as getting important bills passed LBJ was the best I've seen....
