Manchin must be forced to choose between killing/modifying the filibuster, and ending his career.

Less than a week ago, he was proclaiming “NEVER!!!”; today there are several threads on DU with an interview Manchin gave in which his position seems to soften, specifically around voting rights. He incorrectly suggests reconciliation could be used to pass voting rights, but also says the filibuster should be more “painful” to use- require actual speaking, and 40 senators present to sustain.

Things appear to be shifting ever so slightly...stay tuned...
