(16,698 posts)Powerful people, especially men, think that nothing they do is wrong. I don't care what YOU know is wrong, they don't see it that way. Maybe some of the accusations are being embellished. I can accept that. But I also know that underlying it is the sense that it will be accepted because of the larger behavior.
Obama never had any of these problems because there was never any belief that he'd do it, much less get away with it. (Michelle woulda killed him). Cuomo on the other hand has the problem that it is believable, in the larger knowledge of who he is. Does that mean that every accusation is true? No. Franken's problems was that because of his former occupation and behavior as a comedian, the accusations could be seen as valid. Heck, they had photos. Does that mean he did anything wrong? No. Cuomo on the other hand should have known better and if 1/3 of it is anywhere close to "true", what the heck was he thinking?
