1. It makes me wonder how they do their grading.

In my law school, with very few exceptions, class grades were based solely on a final exam, usually consisting of several essay questions. Each student was assigned a new test number each semester. Names were never involved.

I suppose a professor might have been able to get the identity lists from the administration, although I doubt it. The one professor I can think of who might have tried it was surprised, and somewhat pissed, when he found out the only student who had gotten an A in his contracts class was the one who skipped the last two weeks of class.

Which raises the question in my mind of how she knows who the African American students are?
